IONS, growing its new vision, becoming a catalyst in shifting consciousness. Teachings such as Ramtha's have been around a long time, now accepted through science; learning curve of embracing chaos; Edgar Mitchell and understanding the human condition; perilous times and projecting forward; creating from mind "There's doing and there's being, it's important to pay attention to the quality of our thinking." How can we do when everything is so bad? "It's our responsibility to hold a "Field" for people, hold that space for consciousness and change to happen. This is a critical and exciting time in our history."

Susan Burns is WA State representative for The Institute of Noetic Sciences, a pioneer position at IONS which developed out of her role as Stewardship Council representative for the IONS Northwest groups. She is joyfully and energetically, along with IONS's new president James O'Dea, bringing the "personal touch" of grassroots community groups to IONS. Susan's Seattle group builds awareness through open meetings and events. Its mission is that of IONS which seeks to expand awareness, educate by bridging science and consciousness, and catalyze a shift in consciousness. Her group is also a platform for integrating diverse interest groups in the NW, an area of the country which has a large network of grass roots organizations, bringing together IONS leaders and social change leaders in general. Susan currently hosts regular gatherings for leaders centered not only on networking but shifting consciousness through personal growth. The work is dedicated toward building communities of leaders fostering a new paradigm model for cooperative social change within the NW.
