~~~ Pierce Peter Brandt ~~~
Pierce Peter Brandt   Meet our new friend, a talented, caring, young man who as an actor can take on any character and even look menacing, but in his 'natural state' has a most delightful (dare we say sweet) and joyous countenance that simply captivates.   Pierce just finished a 3-year run with the Broadway touring company of Les Misérables (appearing in the roles of "Javert", "the Factory Foreman", and "Combeferre").   Among many others Pierce has appeared in Cameron Mackintosh's Martin Guerre in the leading role of "Arnaud" and the featured role of "Paul" and in Jesus Christ Superstar.
Pierce returned to New York City in mid-2003 after spending the previous two years in San Francisco caring for his grandmother, grateful to have the opportunity to be with her.  During that time he put acting aside except for his performance in the full-scale premiere production of the new musical The Three Musketeers at American Musical Theatre of San Jose. In San Francisco he worked as an Art Director and Writer in a graphic design and advertising studio.
Also a writer and artist, his first love is singing (listen to a wee sample at the end of his program.)  While continuing his career in theatre is still a possibility, Pierce has left New York for Washington and is fully engaging the unknown.
"Courage into the Unknown"
In theatre from the age of 7, he was grateful his parents had not allowed TV and still watches seldom, but one late night in a hotel he turned it on and saw Linda Evans on Larry King speaking of RSE, he was enthralled.  A year later he was on his way to school ...on his cell phone making sure friends knew exactly were he was just in case he "disappeared"!  Prior to coming he was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer, at RSE he learned how to be healthy and later was told his scans were fine "Had I not shifted I'm sure I would have created that disease."   He was acting for performance, now he is acting for becoming.  "I have had a lot of wonderful changes since attending RSE, I realize I *can* create.  If there's something in you that says 'there's got to be more than this...' have the courage to go into the unknown, it may be scary at first, but the rewards are so incredible!"
