At five months, this was Helen's first interview... She was splendid!
With the mom and dad she has, it is easy to understand her presence and joy.

Robert has been in the school (RSE) since he was a child. His father has been on staff at the school for over 18 years. At a very young age Robert had a passion for music and rhythms. His genius fostered by the teachings of the school harvested this talent, and he has been creating his dream of taking his music worldwide ever since. Knowing how difficult it is out there for people his age to find their way, his desire was to bring his style of music with it's unique frequency to their level, and create hope in a very clean mindful way. Today he is a DJ on a quest to get right in where the youth need inspiration the most. He also writes and produces music, and puts together the most amazing compilations to do the great work to!

Laurie found the school while training with the national team for synchronized swimming. She began traveling from California to participate in events twice a year. Her desire to learn the knowledge quickly outgrew her desire to be part of a very degrading and image based sport. About four years into attending the school she met and fell in love with Robert while at an event. They befriended and continued to inspire each other long distance while being supportive of their different paths. After losing touch for five years, Laurie reunited with Robert and realizing her desire to be close to the school and Robert she moved to Yelm.

They continued to fall in love, and began several businesses together. During the day they produced candles and potpourri, a skill Laurie acquired while away from school, and at night Robert would go and dj at various venues. They participate in every school event they can together, but also support each other if only one can go.
They now have a beautiful baby girl... Helen, and the journey only gets more exciting every day. If they had one thing to tell the world it would be... You can do anything you put your mind to, just don't give up thats the key! And despite your present reality, hold the focus of what you want, and it will come.

Laurie has been a candle artisan for eight years, after being trained in a professional factory environment by some of the best candle makers in the world. She has brought these skills to her own shop in the community of Yelm. Laurie and Robert both produce and promote their product, taking them to shows currently all over the west side of Washington.
