~~~ Gary and Laura Craig ~~~
Gary Craig's art is beautiful! Portraiture, murals, illustration. He attended school in England and went on to travel extensively as a painter, the artist’s colony island of Hydra, Greece and several years in Rome, Florence, Venice, and Paris where he painted many fascinating people. Returning to America Gary focused his talents on fine portraiture, in San Francisco where he was privileged to paint many of the city’s society elite. His artwork has been exhibited in Germany, New York, and San Francisco and is part of many private collections around the world.
In 1986 Gary moved to Washington state and has spent the last twenty years devoting himself to spiritual studies. In 2002 he married and began a family. Having children inspired him to finally fulfill a lifelong wish to write stories and illustrate books specifically aimed towards the education and the empowerment of children. He has been selected as a finalist in the 2007 Nautilus Book Awards with one of his illustrated children's books, Where Does the Sun Go? It is also up for Book of the Year in the Children’s Picture Book category in ForeWord Magazine’s eighth annual Book of the Year Awards. His first books are available for your children on his website, where you can also enjoy some of his work.  www.garycraigart.com
"Watching Little Miracles Grow"
That's how Laura & Greg view their children. Their marriage, a result of a long term friendship after meeting at Ramtha's school, brings a keen awareness of how we affect our kids and the importance of being examples for them, and giving them great ideals. Gary's passion for painting began at age 12, his father taught him integrity, honor, and being impeccable. His art developed into a cosmopolitan life of success, travel, and pleasure. Until on one scary day when he realized his whole life had been spent in self gratification, "we were giving up on this generation," and then Ramtha came into his realm. His studies at RSE inspired him to fulfill a life long wish to write and illustrate story books for children. Laura was totally in love with him, they developed a deep friendship and though he was 'unattainable like a monk' she was just persistent enough. Love and friendship continues to grow, in word and deed they are great examples for their children. They have much to say about kids, their lack of heroes, guidance, hope... Gary says "Choice is something people are not reminded of anymore.. what kids watch... it's like the end of a civilization. I have a vested interest in doing something for this generation." Laura perceives a movement towards change, "...there will be a critical mass, there has to be." and they are focused on helping to bring about that change.
