~~~ Denise Corcoran ~~~
A visionary, pioneer and rebel thinker all her life, she acquired an MS in Mathematics
at a time when less than 5% of all engineering graduate degrees went to women; was one of
the first female engineers at the formerly world renowned research institute, Bell Telephone Labs; and one of the first female corporate executives at Ford Aerospace and Sprint.
Denise Corcoran went on to start her
own business in 1985, working with multi- billion $$ high tech corporations in the areas of
growth strategies, new business ventures, and diversification. Until 1989 when, at the height of her financial and professional success, a life-threatening illness brought Denise to her knees causing her to ultimately loose everything. Denise says that while the physical and financial pain was more than she knew how to handle at the time, the greatest pain was "...at the very core of my soul, so much of my identity had been wrapped up in my external life, that the loss of 'things' left me feeling spiritually bankrupt." That dark and often despairing five-year journey eventually brought her home to her “real” self and living an inspired life. She started another business but from a much different perspective, with wisdom gained came understanding that business is as much a transitional thing as anything else, an amazing mirror, a reflection of ourselves... "you don't really need a different strategy, you need a different mindset." So she wrote a handbook! A modestly priced e-book, “The Mindset of Greatness: 21 Principles to Becoming an Unstoppable Business Woman … Oprah Winfrey Style!” Available here
By night, you will often find Denise engaged in one of her greatest passions, dancing.
“Dancing, for me, is more than an activity, I have learned more about
life from dancing, than any book, seminar or even business mentor. It touches every fiber
of my being … that defies words.” We will discover more on this and continue to explore the many levels of issues, belief systems, values, how we live... maybe not by our true values? Self identification, how do you perceive yourself? Is the business congruent with the person? Denise helps you to learn how to honor and respect your natural orientation. "There's a certain nature for every one of us... honoring your nature makes all the difference in life and relationships."
